She was predeceased by: her parents, W. A. Sanborn (Andrew) and Olga Sanborn; and her husband Charles Appel. She is survived by: her children, George of Ypsilanti, Christine Clauson (Michael) of Warren, Joyce Shorek (James) of Shelby Township and Sarah Appel of Capac; and her grandchildren, Andrew Clauson (Melissa), John Clauson, Jamie Shorek Mary (Charlie Ward), Dayna Shorek and Rebecca Tucker (Jay).
