It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Burns (Romeo, Michigan), who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Mack" Burns and Yvonne Burns (Steen); his wife Mary Louise Recor; his siblings, Daniel, Judy Demick and Janet Waslar; and his son-in-law Alvin Grinde.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Grinde of Milton, FL, Maureen of Romeo, Shannon Griffin (Jeff) of Romeo, Bridget Kowalke (Jeff) of Washington Township and Matthew (Deborah) of Armada; his grandchildren, Patrick (Alaina), Michael (Michelle), Matthew, Connor (Taylor), Cameron, Owen, Benjamin and James; and his great grandchildren, Josie, Tessa, Mack, Cooper and Mary Joan.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Rd, Romeo, MI 48065). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo (343 S Main St, Romeo, MI 48065).
