We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2025, at the age of 83, Ethel Mae Thuemmel of Romeo, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert C. Hienton and Ethel M. Hienton (Allen); and her husband Leonard J. Thuemmel. She is survived by: her children, Becky (Rex Omonode), Etiene Thuemmel of Greenwich, CT, Heidi and Mohamed Amhdar of Richmond, MI.; and her granddaughter Alaina Omonode.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Capital Banquet Center (12350 31 Mile Rd, Washington, MI 48095).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or the Make-a-Wish foundation.
