He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. Roger Blake and Virginia Blake; his children, R. C. (Connie), Susie (Bob) and Laura (Alan); and his grandchildren, Tobi (Elke), Zoey, Peter, Maddy, Alex, Lizzie and Ben-Carr II. He was also cherished by the fifth of eight siblings.

The family would welcome contributions to Take Root Dance Company, for their "Dance for Parkinson's Disease Program.".
