He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Teesdale and Ethel Teesdale (Muir); his wife Geraldine; his daughter Denise Gentle; his son-in-law Pat Laws; and his grandson Michael Huston.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Teesdale (Doreen), Debbie Laws, Deanna Huston and Herbie Teesdale; his grandchildren, Kristi Stewart (Mike), Roger Teesdale (Winter), Matthew Teesdale (Katie), Houston Laws, Kamille Laws (Rob Siefken), Kristen Keith (Ike), Chasity McCready (Robert) and Jennifer Teesdale; and his brother Larry Teesdale (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
