With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert James McCarthy of Rockford, Michigan, who passed away on September 23, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold McCarthy and Kathleen McCarthy (Joyce). He is survived by: his wife Aline McCarthy (Straubel); his children, Mary Bridgette Castro, Thomas McCarthy (Sarah) and Laura McCarthy; and his siblings, Sharon VenHuizen (Ron), Barb DiMarco, Mary Kay Moroney (Mike), Helen Anne Phillips (John), Patricia Heugel (Doug) and Michael McCarthy (Tammy).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Bob's name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
