He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Rop and Claretta Rop (Wolffis). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Rop; his children, Chad Rop (Julie), Kevin Rop (Laura) and Trevor Rop; his siblings, David Rop, Thomas Rop (Joan) and Sue Wyngarden; his sister-in-law Jackie Kaiser; and his grandchildren, Evan, Xander, Hunter, Mason, Autumn and Blake.
