Molly Kathryn Dayton, lovingly known as "Molly Penny," died unexpectedly, but peacefully on November 10, 2024. Born on November 4, 1999, in Nanning, China, Molly joined the Dayton family in December 2000 and spent most of her life in Rockford, Michigan, where her vibrant spirit touched many lives. A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Molly earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Statistics in May 2022. Her quirky spirit made her truly one of a kind. Molly walked through life—often literally on her tiptoes—with a will of titanium and a passionate heart. She had a brilliant mind and a deep commitment to social justice. Molly leaves behind her loving family, including her parents, Steve and Sheila Dayton, and her siblings, Hannah, Ian (and his partner Rebecca), Emma (and her partner Kyle), Sean (and his partner Sav) and her family's beloved dogs. She shared a deeply meaningful relationship with her partner, Alex, who made the last year of Molly's life one of her happiest. Molly's family and friends will remember her for the laughter, passion, and individuality she brought into their lives.
