He was predeceased by: his father John Phillips (Nadine Phillips); his siblings, Bob Phillips, Helen Hankins and Sid Phillips; and his brother-in-law Don Hankins.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Sherry Myers (Mike), Tom Phillips and Lori Waldo (Scott); his stepchildren, Lynne Pfund (Robert) and Brian Johnson (Theresa); his grandchildren, Kristyn Claffey (Greg), Kevin Myers and Kyle Waldo; his stepgrandchildren, Olivia Pfund, Nathan Pfund, Benjamin Pfund, Nadia Pfund, Claire Pfund, William Pfund, Gabriel Pfund, Brandon Johnson and Jacob Johnson; his great grandchild Graysen Claffey; his sister-in-law Joan Phillips; his sister Dorothy Ringer (Don); and his sister-in-law Jean High. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
