He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Oxner and Mildred Oxner (Gallert); and his father-in-law William F. "Bill" Hoffman, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Karen Oxner of Rockford; his children, Joshua (Tessa Oxner), Mandi Bates, Linda (Travis Heintzelman) and Brian Hock; his stepchildren, Kristin, Ryan SIbary, Julie Thome, Aaron Leder and Mandi Thome; his sisters, Pam (Bobby Hobkirk) and Shelly (Dennis Combs); his mother-in-law Patricia Hoffman; and his brothers-in-law, William F. "Skip", Lanie Hoffman, James and Sandy Hoffman. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, John would have appreciated contributions in his memory to Kindred Hospice.
