He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Punches; his parents, Donald and Vesta; and his siblings, Ronald, Robert Punches and Phyllis Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Dewey (Rod Dewey) and Bruce Punches (Torrey Thomas); his grandchildren, Kegan Dewey and Colin Dewey; his great grandchildren, Arie Punches-Betts and Brooks Dewey; and his daughter-in-law Kimberly Dickerson (Kent).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Frontline Community Church (4411 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish, to plant a tree in James' memory through the Pederson Funeral Home link.
