He was predeceased by: his brother Richard Riemersma; his sister-in-law Marge Riemersma; his granddaughter Lindsey Marie Riemersma; and also, David DeBoer and Robert Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen (Start); and his siblings, Lorraine Boer, Marvin Riemersma (Betty), Yvonne Anderson and Kenneth Riemersma. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
