He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Mae Hendrie and Eugene Wade Carnes Sr.; his wife Leslie Ann Carnes; his stepparents, Theodore Clum and Fernanda Rosa Carnes; and his brothers, Michael Barry Clum, Richard Clay Carnes and Robert Lee Carnes.
He is survived by: his children, Jenni Mae Martinsen (Rick), Timothy Gene Carnes (Trudy), Cari Louise (Steven), Sean Wallace Fisher (Myra), Geoffery Martell Fisher and Gregory Jason Fisher; his siblings, Theodore Thomas Clum, Sandra Kay Clum-Bujaki, Billie Ann Clum (Pete), Valorie Young (Steve), Doris Caroline Shumard (Donald), Larry Clifton Carnes (Mary), John Mark Carnes, Michael Jay Carnes and Lois Lorraine Cooper (Marty); his aunt Lois Lorraine Carnes; and his close friend Tim Fiebig. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
