He is survived by: his children, Rob Atkinson (JoAnn), Kim Carpenter (Greg Curran), Debbie Lamkin (Johnny) and Dan Payne (Rhonda Jordan); his daughter-in-law Julie Atkinson; his grandchildren, Brent (Carrie), Karabeth Lamkin, Robert, Amie Atkinson and Myles Carpenter Bush; his great grandchildren, Maggie, Tessa Lamkin and Judah Picott; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Andersen (Bruce), Marlene Turner (Mike), John Goltz (Vanessa) and Barry Goltz (Jan Wolven); and his grandchildren, Mike, Tyler, Chad Stokley and Alicia Jordan.
