She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Mellema and Jessie Mellema (Meindersma); her husband Gordon; her brother Robert Mellema; her siblings-in-law, John Hosler, Barb Lang, Erwin Knox, Elaine Knox and Howard Robinson; and her nephews, Doug Mellema and Bruce Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Steensma (Bill) and Michael Knox (Sheryl); her grandchildren, Sara DeVaun (Dan), Kelly James (Adam) and Becky Sandborn (Bill); her great grandchildren, Jeremiah DeVaun, Isaac DeVaun, Kaleb James, Jack James, Will Sandborn, Leelah Sandborn and Sidney Sandborn; her sister Ruth Hosler; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Robinson and Marilyn Mellema. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
