In loving memory of Bem Price Allen Jr. (Rockford, Michigan), born in Vincennes, Indiana, who departed this world on March 9, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Price Allen and Bem Price Allen, Sr.; and his sister Stella Brecher. He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret E. Allen (Henry Caulkins III) and Kathleen Allen Crawford (Mark Crawford); his grandchildren, Bem Price Allen III, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Kelly, Emma, Bem IV, Henry IV and Joshua; his sister Sarah Kendall; and his brother-in-law Chuck Brecher.

“To Paula, Margaret, Kathleen, and Bem III, I was saddened to hear of Bem's death. I just finished watching his Memorial Service online. It was a very nice service and a fitting tribute to Bem. He worked all his life combating prejudice in all its forms. He used his teaching and research to lift up those less fortunate than himself. He was an excellent professor and prolific researcher. Bem and I both came to WIU in 1968 and became lifelong friends. He will be missed by all of us. Frank”
