She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Hoemke and Lydia Hoemke; her children, Andrea Kwapis (Gary), Martin Heins (Lorri), Melissa Berger (Brian), David Heins (Sandra) and Jon Heins; her grandchildren, Nicholas Kwapis (Aubrey), Emily Heins, Meredith Reinhold (Michael), Matthew Heins (Brandy), Anna Lucas (John), Lydia Heins, Joseph Heins (Sheridan), David Garelick and Ericka Yeiter; her great grandchildren, Madilyn, Elizabeth, Henrik, Emma, Patrick and Jack; her husband Edward Heins; and her granddaughter Kirsten Heins. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's honor to the St. John Traditional Music Program.
