He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Schleicher and Matilda Schleicher; his wife JoAnn; and his siblings, Dawn and LouEtta.

He is survived by: his sons, David Schleicher (Janice), Glenn Schleicher (Nancy) and James Schleicher (Lillie); and his grandchildren, Craig, Hobie, Erik, Melissa and Emily. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
