He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Ayotte and Ethel Ayotte of Rochester, Michigan.; and his siblings, William Ayotte of Rochester, Phyllis Hetterscheidt of Mt. Clemens and Judy Ayotte of Rochester, Michigan..

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughter Andrea Burnett; his son-in-law Brett Burnett of Arlington; his daughter Adrienne Penner; his son-in-law Jerry Penner of Arlington; his granddaughter Morgan Elam of Plano; his siblings, Lorraine Neelis of Cheboygan, Irene Walrad (Jack) of Southfield, Jack Ayotte (Linda) of Oakland and Robert Ayotte (Penny) of Omer; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Ayotte of Rochester Hills and James Cadenhead of DeLeon, Texas.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Healthcare of Texas, Fort Worth/ Arlington, or to the Arlington Animal Shelter.
