She was predeceased by: her spouse Ted J. Smolarek. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Czelada (John) and Richard Smolarek (Joan); her stepchildren, Dorothy Ryner and Daniel Morawski (Sylvia); her sister Delphine Czulinski (John); and also Steve Morawski. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Irene's name to the Capuchins, St. Jude, or St. Florian Church.
