She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Russell and Beatrice VanBuhler (Matthew); her siblings, Pat (Frank), Larry (Diane), Sharon (Terry) and Lorene; her sibling-in-law Sandy; her godson Daniel; and her husband Glen. She was also cherished by 11 nieces and nephews.

Although Carol was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 42, she never let it interfere with her zest for life.
