Barbara Jean Gilbert Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2025, at the age of 99, Barbara Jean Gilbert of Rochester, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Barbara Jean departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara Jean. Though Barbara Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence VanNorman and Myrtle VanNorman (Ashley); her husband William Gilbert; and her children, Judy Tyler and David Tyler.

She is survived by: her son John Tyler; and her stepchildren, Randy Gilbert (Jerri), Shelley Gilbert and Dale Gilbert (Laura). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
