It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Earl Smith of Rives Junction, Michigan, who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor DeLeeuw Smith; his parents, Bert and Veronica; and his siblings, Robert Smith, Tom Smith, Gerald Smith, George Smith, Frances Osterberg and Helene Marshall.
He is survived by: his children, Eileen Bennett (Pat) of Columbus, WI, Steven Smith (Brenda) of Parma, MI, Janet Meike (Ron) of Jackson, MI, Nancy Fogarty (Jerome) of Elsie, MI and Mary Becker (Jeff) of Pompano Beach, FL; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Layton of Pleasant Lake, Bernice Smith and Gloria Smith of Jackson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
