He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Maitland and Marion Maitland (Hawkins); his siblings, Geoffrey Maitland and Sheree Maitland; his wife Cheri Surbrook Maitland; his children, Ryan Maitland (Amanda), Kate O'Connor, Hazel Yinger (Tyler), Faryn Steel, Amanda Maitland, Jameson Maitland and Gerald Maitland; his grandchildren, Kazen Yinger, Azalea Yinger and Farrah Steel; his brother Michael Maitland; and his friends, Tim Pickett and Terry.
