She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Roscoe Reese and Estella Williams Reese; her sons, Jesse Adams, Jr., Johnny Adams, Joseph Adams, Nathaniel Adams, Jimmy Adams and Abraham Adams; and her sister Barbara Ann Lanier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nyla Pearl Bowens (Rick) of Georgia, Carolyn Goines of Georgia and Livia Adams of Georgia; and her sisters, Mattie Adams and Yvonne Woodberry of Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ray Funeral and Cremation Service (1373 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1 Chapel of Faith Dr, Candler, NC 28715).
