He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvel Ann Hofstetter (Bennett) and Frederick Hofstetter; his son Jeff Hofstetter; his granddaughter Sabrina Gossit; his great grandchild Paton Jane Summons; his great great grandchildren, Clair Gorsuch and Maylyn Lumbert; his brothers, Daryl, Raymond, Rod and Terry Hofstetter; and his brother-in-law Gene.
He is survived by: his significant other Janet Kay Hofstetter of Riverdale; his children, James C. Hofstetter (Heidi Gorsuch) of Carson City, Kimberly K. Holmes (Kevin) of Riverdale, Shelly J. Gorsuch (Lyn) of Gwinn, Tracy L. Evans (John) of Six Lakes and Kevin D. Hofstetter (Jessie) of Luther; his sister Janet Sue Morrison of Ithaca; and his pet Shorty. He is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren; sixty-seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
