It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Walters of Riga, Michigan, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James A. Walters to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Walters and Lena Walters; his siblings, Zelma Adams (Glenwood), Belva Steward (Robert), J. C. (Donna), Leo (Darlene), Harvey (Betty) and Wayne Walters (Ruth); his brother-in-law Eugene Albright; his father-in-law Richard Smith; his siblings-in-law, Judy Smith and Willi Ambil; and his niece Sarah Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Walters (Smith); his daughter Stacey Palmer (Steve); his grandchildren, Grant, Morgan and Miranda; his siblings, Rachel Albright, Janice Hillard (Victor) and Dale Walters (Virginia); his mother-in-law Pauline Smith; his siblings-in-law, Amy Ambil and Allen Smith; his niece Jessica Smith; and his caregivers, Jessica Smith, Amy Ambil, Ginnie Fleenor and Becky Purser. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reeb Funeral Home (5712 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
