He was predeceased by: his parents, Ormand and Pauline; his wife Zeena Salwin; his son Carl; and his siblings, Frederick (Shirley), Leonard, Geraldine VanMaldegham (Michael), Henry (JoAnn), Jean Knudsen and Marvin.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Meininger (Nicola), June Collins (Robert), Lawrence Meininger (Linda), Robert Meininger and Marvin Meininger (Da'Lynette); and his grandchildren, Brandi (Marvin), Jesse (Sara), Michelle (John), Rebecca (Sevea), James (Kimberly), David, Amy, Matthew (Elise), Amanda (Brian), Samuel (Eileen), Kristie (Scott) and Thomas (Donna). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kaatz Funeral Directors - Richmond (71235 Memphis Ridge Rd, Richmond, MI 48062). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
