He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory B. Gross and Viola M. Gross (Eby); and his brother Dennis Gross Due. He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie Waligursky (Horswill); his son Jeffery Gross (Jennifer) of Battle Creek, MI; his granddaughter Maddison Gross; his brother Mitchell Gross of Kalamazoo; his stepson Daniel Waligursky (Christina) of Portage; and his stepgrandchildren, Ali, Logan and Sawyer Waligursky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rod's honor may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
