He was predeceased by: his father Myrland K. Johnson; his stepfather Corydon Walters; and his siblings, Velma, Richard, Howard, Leon and Jeff.
He is survived by: his mother Norma G. Walters (Hudson) of Kalamazoo, MI; his children, Faith R. Bushen (Kristopher) of Bertram, TX, Israel R. Johnson of Wake Forest, NC and Corydon L. Johnson (Tonia) of Cherry Valley, CA; his brothers, Leroy Johnson (Diane) of Kalamazoo, Mike Johnson (Sandy) of Pulaski, TN, Denny Johnson (Sue) of Harrison, MI, Ronnie Johnson (Lexie) of Clare, MI and Gregg Johnson (Karen) of Wyoming, MI; and his pets, Winter and Tyger. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
