It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Charles Bearden of Richland, Michigan, who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Bearden and Louise Bearden (Stanfield); and his sister Jane Martin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Scholten; his children, Rebecca Jobe (Ted) of Austin and Brian Bearden (Erika) of Hickory Corners; and his grandchildren, T. J. Jobe and Eli Jobe.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Gull Lake United Methodist Church (8640 Gull Rd, Richland, MI 49083).
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Habitat for Humanity, 1126 Gull Rd Ste. B, Kalamazoo, MI 49048, would be appreciated.
