He was predeceased by: his parents, James George and Madeline George (Brooks); his wife Jean Susan Gage; and his sisters, Shirley Menck, Carol Allen and Janet Wetherbee.
He is survived by: his children, David George (Laura) of Byron Center, Teri Dykstra of Kalamazoo and Timothy George (Tammy) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Zachary McConnell (Courtney), James George, Brooklynne George, Duane Dykstra and Tifani Dykstra; and his brother Jack George (Toni).
