Age 88, of Richland, MI, passed away on March 9, 2025. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on May 23, 1936, the son of the late Hugh D. Miles Sr. and Jeannette Mein. Hugh was kind, loving and generous. He had a strong work ethic and believed in helping others. Hugh owned and operated Miles Auto Service Station for many years. When not working he enjoyed being outdoors, spending time at Gull Lake, hunting trips to Northern Michigan, driving his hot rod and attending car shows. In 1971 he married Mary (DeVries) Miles who preceded him in passing in 2024. He was also preceded in passing by a son, Brad Miles and great-grandson, Bryce Salter; brother-in-law, Roger Kreissl. Hugh leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Hugh (Brenda) Miles III, Bill Miles; grandchildren, Joshua Miles, Sara Miles, Hugh Miles IV, Jake Miles, Lilly Miles, Lexi Miles, Sean Salter and Brandon Salter; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Kreissl and Dianne (Jim) Murphy; extended family and friends.
