She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hintz and Emma Hintz; her husband Walt; her sons, Tom and Alfred; and her daughters-in-law, Sandy and Susan.
She is survived by: her former husband Walton Roper; her children, Sharon Christie, James, Oliver (Marleen), Robert (Bev) and John (LuAnn); and her daughter-in-law Marge. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
