He was predeceased by: his parents, Laina S. Johnson (Syrjala) and Charles F. Johnson; his former wife Sonja Johnson (Makinen); his son Keith Johnson; his sister Jean; and his brother-in-law Leslie Warlin.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Johnson (Menkel); his children, Gregory Johnson (Rita), Holly Johnson, Brenda Mattson (Ray), Julie Prychitko (Dave), Wayne Johnson (Nancy), Ryan Johnson (Angela) and Stacie Nelson (Tim); his stepsons, Ted Christesen (Laurie), Eric Christesen (Chris), Peter Christesen (Lydia) and Dane Christesen (Ann); and also Linda McCool. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
