Carol Jean Nicholas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2024, at the age of 77, Carol Jean Nicholas of Republic, Michigan, born in Negaunee, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Katherine (Tuohimaa) and Elhart Leonard Skogman; her daughter Kelly Jean Starkey; and her brother Keith Ardean Skogman. She is survived by: her husband Richard W. Nicholas of Republic; her daughter Tammy Kaminen (Mark) of Republic; her sister Margery Giachino of Iron Mountain; her grandchildren, Travis Starkey (Sarah) of Quinnesec, Taylor Kaminen of Grand Rapids and Rachel Masi (Raffaele) of Negaunee; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dickey (Bob), Beverly Evans and Kris Nicholas. She is also survived by 13 godchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bethany Lutheran Church, 110 Poplar St., Republic, MI 49879 in Carol's memory.
