He was predeceased by: his father Charles D'Hoest; his wife Judy D'Hoest; his daughter Amy Chavis; and his siblings, Jerry, Anne and Danny Dhoest.
He is survived by: his mother Patricia D'Hoest (Carpenter); his children, Angie D'Hoest of Detroit, Amanda Brown (Earl) of Remus, Thomas D'Hoest, Jr. of Remus and Tyler D'Hoest of Remus; and his siblings, John Dhoest, Joan Dhoest, Sue Kelley (Mike) and David Dale (Yana). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
