He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Smith and Mildred Smith (Spencer); and his brother Burnette Smith. He is survived by: his former wife Martha Watson (Snyder); his wife Martha Smith; his children, Levi Smith (Rachel) of Freeland and LeAnn Smith; his stepchildren, Gerald Watson Jr. (Lesley) of Remus, Paula Watson (Jared Rantanen) of Midland and Cathy Watson (Kim Huston) of Shepherd; and his siblings, Laura Hull (Robert), Ronald Smith (Patricia), Marion Pierce (Claude), Henrietta Munneke (Henry) and Geraldine Strong. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
