He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Jean Birch; and his sister Shelley Birch. He is survived by: his wife Sondra Birch; his son Caleb; his father Dean Birch; his siblings, Susan Kutzbach (David) and Jody Birch (Sally); and his sisters-in-law, Veronica Wilbur (Peter) and Paula Block (Jack).
