It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Everett James Bates (Remus, Michigan), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wirt Bates and Elizabeth Bates (Hawthorne); his wife Michelle; his children, Tammie Stennett (Jack) of Denver, CO, Jamie Jewell of St. Johns, Matthew Bates (Toni Palos) of Denver, Elizabeth Olszewski (Aaron) of Grand Rapids and James Bates (Michelle) of Newaygo; and his siblings, Harvey Bates (Tami) of Silver City, NM, Frank Sinn (Lori Holt) of Lansing, Rick Sinn of Rapid River, Jody Pitts of Greenfield, TN and Pam Dixon. He was also cherished by several grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
