It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene O. Backlund (Remus, Michigan), born in Felch, Michigan, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Backlund and Helen Backlund; and his child Thomas (Alice). He is survived by: his former wife Alice Pasche; his wife Marie; his sister Betty Pasche; and his children, Carol Armstrong (Don), Janice Martin (Steve), Marilyn Seitz (Fred), Eric Backlund (Pam), Tony Backlund (Sheryl), Karen Zuccaro (Sandro) and David Backlund (Annemarie). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gene may be made to The Medical Team Hospice in Flint, Michigan.
