She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, Rowland Peppler and Gladys Peppler (Hess); her husband Philip C. Johnson of Reed City; her parents, Rowland Peppler and Gladys Peppler; and her sister Sheila (Guerra) of Battle Creek.
She is survived by: her brother Alan Cox; and her children, Michael, David, Neil and Laura (Seay). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She worked part time at the hospital and the employment office to help support her family, she also volunteered at a local charity sorting donated goods.
