It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Lenore Pontz of Reed City, Michigan, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Thiel and Eva Thiel (Clark); her husband Gerald Pontz; her siblings, John Thiel and Ida Stephan; her daughter Deborah Sharp (Hurdle); and her great great grandchild Carson Burch.
She is survived by: her sons, David Pontz (Terri), Randy Pontz (Jeane) and Jeffrey Pontz (Shelly); her grandchildren, Johnell Deline (Tom), Emberly Babcock (Randall), Greg Hurdle, Lori Hurdle, Mandy Fitzgerald (Kyle), Gerry Pontz (Macie Battle), Jimmy Burch (Lisa), Jill Coon (Chris), Bryan Pontz (Bobbi), Justin Crabb (Ginnie) and Ashley Block (Stewart); her great grandchildren, Logan, Danica, Corbin, Parker, Rowan, Jayden, Braden, Trevor of Alianna, LJ, Taytum, Marco, Mike Burch (Bonny), Kenny Burch, Miranda Moore (Mike), Camden, Cason, Merrick, Bella, Boone, Emmitt, Ellarie and Reid; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Thiel. She is also survived by 7 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
