He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonzo Zimmerman and Florence Zimmerman (Grove); his wife Jeannine; his sister Debra Manty; and his grandparents, Edmund, Juanita Zimmerman, Martin and Irma Grove.
He is survived by: his son Matthew Zimmerman (Tanya); his grandchildren, Rylee and Landen; his sister Kelly Gilbert (Brian); his nieces, Kate Twichell (Kurt) and Lizzy McKnight (Christopher); and his close friends, Mike Parker and Philip Seath (Fidge). He is also survived by many cousins.
