He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Claude Knapp and Mary Knapp; his wife Shirley Beers; his children, Betty Dooley (Jay), Karen Martzolff (David), Buddy Knapp (Alice) and Richard Knapp (Heidi); his stepchildren, Diane Kettle (Jeff), Arlene Allen (Kurt), Kay Danielson (Russ) and David VanAlstine (Kelly); and his brother Harry Knapp. He was also cherished by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
