He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Gaffney and Grace Gaffney (Hoover); his brothers, Alfred Gaffney Jr. and James Gaffney; his niece Geri; and his stepmother Kay Gaffney (Woods).
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Counterman, Blanch Santure and John Gaffney. He is also survived by 4 nephews and 6 nieces; and cousins.
