He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ernest McGaughy, Willie McGaughy and Frances Carlin; and his mother Clara Carlin. He is survived by: his father Ralph Carlin; and his siblings, Jimmy, Vicky, Mike and Marteen. He is also survived by children.
