She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Nowell and Mary Nowell (Maxwell); her husband Carl Degenhardt; her sister Vivian Matthews; her nephew Gary 'Red Matthews; and her niece Cathy Law.
She is survived by: her son Richard Degenhardt (late Linda); her grandchildren, Lori Anderson (Michael), Lisa Ryan (Bill) and John DeWitt; and her great grandchildren, Chelsea Clay (Christopher), Austin Ryan (Jessica) and Matthew DeWitt. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and friends.
