He was predeceased by: his parents, William Borus and Theresa Borus (Kastl); and his siblings, Viola Rhonehouse and William Borus. He is survived by: his wife Joan Boratyn; his daughters, Barbara Reynolds (Donald "Skeeter") of Reading, MI, Rhonda Heller (Bruce) of Marshall, MI and Theresa Hicksenhiser of Spring Arbor, MI; his stepchildren, Christine Kepley of Westland, MI, Diane Bingamen (Gary) of Novi, MI and James Jackwak (Lori) of Wolverine Lake, MI; and his sister Donna Halter (George) of Troy, MI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
