He was predeceased by: his parents, Gib Ray and Addie B. Murphy (Simpson); his daughter Melissa Deketelaere; and his siblings, Nora Simpson, Anna Lear and Donnie Gene Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Shellabarger-Lecluyse; his children, Michael Murphy (Sherri) of Traverse City and Erin Donahue (Tom) of Clinton Twp; his stepsons, William Lecluyse (Mary) of Roseville, Kenneth Lecluyse (Tracy) and Ira Twp; and his brothers, Russell, Morris and Wayne Murphy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
